“Who made it?” the friend asked. Newton replied, “No one.” The friend laughed. “Impossible. Such a device cannot appear by chance.”
Then Newton offered a calm reply. “You say this simple model requires a maker. Yet you claim the real cosmos arose from accident. Why accept design here but deny it there?” The room went quiet. The logic landed.

Therefore, the model served as a clear sign—a proof of God’s existence in ordinary terms. If a small mechanism implies a designer, then a vast and ordered universe points to a Creator. This is not blind belief. Rather, it is reason applied to what we see.

Even if, by some miracle, life had come into existence by pure chance —
which would be about as likely as typing random letters and producing the complete works of Shakespeare —
how could it also possess the ability to reproduce itself?

Consequently, many see in biology arguments for the existence of God. A painting implies a painter. A house implies a builder. Likewise, life points to a Creator.

Therefore, Newton’s story remains a case for the existence of God. Science helps us map patterns. Faith helps us name their source. When we follow evidence with honesty, the trail often points beyond chance. It points toward wisdom, purpose, and love.
